Hello:

Recently moved house and decorating some rooms.
One of our neighbors have a kid who is really into playing drums.

We are fortunate that they are detached but the drummer plays in a room which is 2-3m from our house and it is rather loud, particularly the base drum.

Anyhow I am wondering how to insulate the room to try and reduce the noise. I'm thinking something like insulation under the bedroom floor, more insulation in the ceiling, perhaps soundboard on the walls?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

You will struggle with the bass drum.

We live a number of MILES from a concert venue on Cannock Chase and it is possible to still hear the bass drum from our back bedroom.
