Beirut, huge explosion video

Apparently welders were working on a door before the fire.

A lot of the white is water vapour caused by the sudden consumption of air in the explosion
Old school fire fighters used to use explosives t suck the oxygen ont of a fire to kill it.
People are mistaking it for smoke etc

Trump quoted his "great generals" but nobody can find any usa military source willing to back him up and the DoD refers all enquiries to the WH

geeza look at the explosion, that was a bombing, that wasnt no fireworks or fertilisers going off by accident. they was a detonation.

Do you have experience is ordnance and or explosives?

It's strange that fantasist gasbusters thinks that a nuclear bomb explodes slowly, starting with a small fire and red flashes that give people time to look at it and start taking photos and videos, before growing into a large fire, followed by an explosion that does not burn out the eyeballs of observers nor the lenses of cameras.

I wonder when gasbuster's "slow-burn" nuke was invented.

Perhaps this is a new kind of nuke that generates no radioactive fallout.

Luckily gasbuster's tinfoil hat will protect him.

I'm sure a geiger counter would have picked up any electromagnetic pulse, which is always present in a nuclear blast. There are no reports of any nuclear radiation. Anyway as big as the blast was it's too small for a nuke.

Other reports are saying the white "smoke" is the supersonic pressure wave. Either way I suspect many of the missing people where incinerated or liquified and there seems to be a massive hole, now filled by sea where the land/dock once was.

The only positive is at least 1/3rd of the blast was absorbed by the sea.

It is a bit of a coincidence that the explosion occurred on the day that a verdict was expected in the trial of the terrorists who assassinated a top Lebanese politician.

The Ammonium nitrate had been stored for a long time which caused it to solidify, in this condition it becomes unstable.
It would only take a small amount of conventional explosive to detonate the entire mass of Nitrate.
There could be more to this tragedy than is apparent.

There were numerous reports of a jet aircraft in the vicinity before the explosion.
French president, Emmanuel Macron, and others have called for an independent international inquiry.

The country’s president, Michel Aoun, said the cause of the blast was still unclear and did not rule out the possibility of a hostile act. “The cause has not been determined yet,” Aoun said. “There is a possibility of external interference through a rocket or bomb.

Trying to divert attention from their incompetence no doubt.

The Beruit blast is the latest in a series of mysterious explosions at sites across the middle east.

The only act hostile to the safety of the Lebanese people was the storing of 2,750 tons of highly explosive material in the centre of a city.

What Aoun would like people to believe is that some enemy of Lebanon took advantage of the explosive.

I wonder if he also said " It has been there safely stored (no explosion) for the last 6 years so we ( the government ) are innocent "

There's been 3 incidents across Iran, at Nuclear and weapons facilities, I've not heard of any others. Israelis?, possibly, who's complaining?

Lebanon are a failed state and on that basis alone, what would any outside country gain from hastening their demise. Israel has, via the UN, offered Lebanon exclusive use of 3 hospitals and their medical teams, plus transport and logistical help, they were one of the first to offer aid although I'm not sure if any assistance has been accepted.

Entire Lebanese Governhment resigns after accepting the explosion was a result of endemic corruption.
Let's hope that with help from the rest of the world they find a positive way forward.

Any solution will involve Hezbollah which is a bit awkward for some countries.

True. Sadly, whenever an arab terrorist does look like coming to some sort of peace agreement, as the PLO almost did, they die under mysterious circumstances. Hey Ho.

Corruption stems from the top.

"According to the constitution, the president must be always Christian, the prime minister Sunni Muslim, and the parliamentary speaker Shia Muslim."
