Morning all, probably a plumbing Q but fault manifests in the appliance.

This should've been a simple job - my 30+yr old washing machine tap blew a seal and I've replaced it with a new tap with integrated one way valve.

The tap is installed the correct way round - and works, and the water is on.

However the machine won't draw water, the pump just buzzez away - I must've missed something simple here?

Perhaps a non-return tap is not suitable for this washer?

Kind regards,

Steve

Sorted by refitting old valve - non-return part of the new valve has a date with a hammer and punch to 'convert' it to a regular valve
