have just bought one from Argos , but the wiring diagram is all wrong ! Instead of the prewired ones being Blue & Brown they are Black & white.
Can someone help with this , thanks in advance .
Have tried Argos , still awaiting a reply !!!!

If the instructions or the lamp itself do not indicate which is the line or neutral then that normally means you can fit them either way around. G4 lamps can fit either way in their holder but make sure you don't touch them with your fingers - use a cloth.

What about the earth wire is there one?

Black and white are the colours used in America ( among other places )

WHITE is NEUTRAL

BLACK is LIVE

Not important if bayonet lamps but for screw in ( as in American fitting ) it preferable to have live to the middle contact of the lamp and NOT the screw cap.

These are G4 lamps - they don't have a live and neutral terminal - do they?
