Laid a few courses of bricks today, bedded ties in ready for the block inner skin. Mortar was still wettish when I laid the blocks, and in order to get the insulation bats in I had to bend the ties up and then back down again, which loosened them. Schoolboy error! I’m assuming I should have added the insulation before each course of ties, or waited until the outer skin had set before doing the inner?
