Intending to replace pendant light in cloakroom with another fitting which only has 3 terminals.
I believe I have to remake the looped connections with a junction box up in the ceiling and bring down L+N+E with heat resistant cable through a Besa box fitted flush with the ceiling.
Well I have searched and searched for "besa box". I have found a mention, but nowhere can I find one for sale, or even a picture of one.
Have I been sent for a bucket of holes or what ???
Any advice would be appreciated.

A besa box is basically a conduit box.

But why would you need one?

Can you fix the light fitting to an adjacent joist? If not, fix a noggin in that spans the joists then screw to that.

If you need a besabox type fitting, and have a plasterboard ceiling with no joist nearby, you can fit a round circular drylining box with fixing centres suitable for roses/batten lampholders etc....

Thanks for prompt reply .
Have plasterboard ceiling and existing fitting is on joist.
