Wanting to knock through kitchen/utility/diner to create a more open plan living. However to do this would mean getting rid of the utility room, so am just weighing up the options.

I believe you can buy stacking equipment for washer and dryer. Is it possible for a joiner to make a bespoke cupboard to house them. A sort of large larder cupboard. Or would this stick out like a saw thumb... Also is there anything to help reduce the noise. Rubber sound insulation matting on internal side of cupboard maybe?

Thanks

Easy enough to make a cup'd [or adapt a larder unit], the doors need to be extra wide though. They will always be noisy though.
