That's becoming pretty standard,. A couple of places I use have just introduced it.they wanted me to provide a photo, with me holding what I provided as my ID document, alongside my face
Broken Record I know Harry, but even for a coupla hundred quid you would benefit from an account at (eg)Trading 212.
You can use Money market which goes in a straight line at the "bank rate", 4.7% 12 months to date, and if there's bit more in there then something like this, which has only gone upwards since April last year. There are no fees, no notice periods and and transfers are quick.
If you get a red candle you can swap it to the Money Market one and wait for a couple of greens before you get back in.
It pays that 3% or whatever if you're not holding anything.
