Since am not very skilled at wood work, I was thining using these kits to throw together so useable drawers for a work bench I've already built. I Want to know what sort of material shall I use for the back, base and front?

I've also had alot of bad experiences with hardboard type bases.

I dislike MDF because it's just made out of paper mache.

if it's a workbench, and sturdiness is more important than elegance, WBP ply. It will also resist an unheated shed or garage which may be a bit damp.

Depends what you want to use them for and where they are to go [under worktop?]
