Best cloth for cleaning surface before painting?

What is the best type of cloth to use for cleaning surfaces such as skirting boards and doors after sanding and before painting?

Cloths such as micro fibre cloths tend to leave small fibres on the surface which isn't good for painting.

I normally use a dusting brush rather than a cloth. When spraying I wipe down with a tack cloth.

Try cleaning first and then lightly sanding the paint with 120 wet and dry paper; I have found that gives enough adhesion for modern paints. An old brush removes the dust etc.
