Replace "God" with what it means - "Mythological creation of the superstitious" save our gracious king/queen.

French one is sylishly rousing
Spanish is kindergarden tune with no official words
German is ok, "quite nice"
I quite like the Italian one, with the bit after the pause where it winds up: Ba, Da, dada rumpumpumpumpumpump..... The conjoured-up image of little marching Mussolinis raises a smile.

But I wouldn't stand or sing it directly to any royal.

Many others are very rousing and inspiring. Ours is outdated, like the empire

Being left of centre and questioning some of what your country does ( remember Liz T?) does not make you a trot or unpatriotic. Remember Musck is currently urging Germans to vote Af D. The same country which under the leadership of Merckel was described by many anti EU types as narzi.
