Best saw for a decking job ?

I'm building a framework for decking to span a 3m x 1m void using 4" x 2" for joists and pillars and circa 30mm decking. I've obviously got to cut the wood to size and bar a hand saw I don't have any cutting tools.

I was thinking of future usefulness as well and thought about a sliding compound mitre saw and workbench, possibly even one of the Bosch type specialist saw tables with extensions.

Right ? wrong ? suggestions.

I guess I could see me using it going forward on occasion so something which would last rather than just do this job and then pack in.

Maybe up to £200 or so for the saw, perhaps more but a more expensive one has to be better value (not just price) than a cheap one which will do the job now. If the price gap is too large, then the cheap and cheerful will win out.

No point in looking at £500 models but a very well equipped and well manufactured one which was £350 and is now £150 is better value than one which was and is £89.99 and is a poor comparison features and quality wise.

Does that make sense ?

Why do you want to spend £200 on a saw for this one, limited use and some possible occasional future use.

A cheap one will do

A more expensive one does nothing that a cheap one wont do for first fix work
