What's the best tool for digging a post hole in clay?

Same as anyone else.
A shovel and back work.
1st as the 2nd is not for clay really.


Petrol hole digger is another, look up HSS tools for them.
Mind out for pipes and cables though.

Well turned out the best spade was my good old garden spade. Glad I didn't waste any money on something else!

I find the best tool for that job is my son-in-law.
