Best way to internally insulate a solid wall

Checked with my favourite local supplier. 40 / 50 or 60mm with pre-bonded plasterboard. I reckon I'll go for the 60, as the cost between then is minimal.

1 more question, if I am sticking 3 boards, that would be 32 dabs per board? Do I need a 10Kg or 25KG bag of adhesive? Or more?!
