Best Way To Mix H&C For External Tap

I'd like to fit an external tap for car washing.

Occasionally, I'd like to mix in a bit of hot to make the water warm. Obviously, I need to run H&C pipes to where the tap will be sited.

But what is the best mixer to use?

Not really, that is only set once then left really for internal work.

Normally it's just 2 outside taps then use a hoselock Y piece.

If it’s to be adjustable, the adjustments will need to be outside. Something line this, feeding a normal outside tap?

I have a panelled timber frame either side of my up-and-over door, so the mixer device will go on the inside, with just a bog standard tap on the outside.

have you consider using a venturi as a cheaper option to what you have linked, plus you can buy them from proper Hydrolic shops and not **** off of the internet

You wouldn't usually use a TMV for a location that could be at risk of freezing, in fact any type of Thermostatic valve as in a shower, they will break if they freeze.

I use one just like the above, as a mixer to my downstairs toilet, washbasin's single tap. In summer, I clip an hosepipe on it, to bath the dog outside. It works well, mixing our mains CW at 2bar, with hot from our open vented cylinder. 60C water, comes out of the basin tap at around 40C.

I don't know what one of these is...

a venturi is desined for mixing chemical with water. it has a narrow flow in the middle where the water passes witch with a hole bored out will cause a suction. this suction is what draws the chemical. in a senece you have one large inlet water, one small inlet chemical and one large out let chemical and water. Any half decent hydrolic shop should sell them
