Best way to repair bedroom wall (plaster blown everwhere)

That looks as if the finish coat hasn't been applied properly, so probably your best bet is to think in terms of chipping off all of the finish plaster, rather than have it patched and other areas coming loose. Best talk to a plasterer, but you may be able to save money by you chipping it away and he replasters.

The bonding plaster has come away aswell I have just pulled some off (pic attached)
I don't need it to be tidy etc as I'm lining it anyways so would like and try to remedy myself, what bonding plaster would I need hardwood? I'm assuming it's lime atm due to the age of the house
