Just spotted this customer review for a BG RCBO on the screwfix website.

And it's not as if screwfix don't supply Wylex RCBO's (albeit £17 more expensive). Cheapskate

The trouble is for those that devised the din-rail standard for consumer units, no agreement was reached as to the method of attachment of the busbars at the bottom of the breaker, which rather defeats the purpose of having a din-rail standard in the first place.

Perhaps all the consumer unit manufacturers should sit round the table, and agree on a common standard for the busbar connection mountings, and compile a "special DIN mark" for those that comply??

They got that right for plugs, switches, and wall boxes in the past!

they wont sit around a table. If they agreed a product busbar fitting standard then the likes of wylex and mk and hager would then just be undercut en-masse by the indians and chinese independant manufacturers/suppliers if they knew what ever they built would fit any cu. what would crabtree do?. i hope they dont sit around the table. we dont want inferior products and any self respecting sparky can find the correct accomodating mcb fit, in most scenarios
