Big hole in my exhaust pipe

I have a big hole in my exhaust pipe on my Vauxhall Corsa Vegas 96 car.

Will I need to change the exhaust pipe or can the garage fix this without changing it?
And how much should I expect it to cost?

Past repair, that one....just ring for quotes from tyre services people to independent garages - in fact, Vauxhall do offer a quick fitting service which will be competitive.

Agree with John on that one. I have in times of dire skintness taken the things off and welded them, but it's a horrible job and they don't usually last that long after as the rest of the section is knacked too.
No way would it be worth paying someone else to do anything apart from replace it.

Oh yes!!

As said phone around local exhaust places. Price will vary from place to place and can vary quite drastically in fact.

They say 'London' covers quite a large area so do you want someone to post a list up of them all? Try a Google search for '<your area> Vauxhall garage' and you will find a list of those local to you.

I would agree, once you have lost that much metal there is nothing to weld to.
