Bizzarre Miele Dryer Issue

Hi all.

I have the seemingly common fault of my Miele T294C dryer shutting down after 5 mins of blowing cold air and beeping on all settings.

BUT!

If I wipe / clean the door interior seal down (on the machine body side not the actual door) it will work???

Would appreciate any pointers as to why this is happening / how to fix?

Does sound strange & I don't have a definite answer, but would suggest you look for a loose wire or poor connection on the door latch, it may even need a new one.

I didn't realise the door was part of an electrical circuit. I'll have a poke around.

UPDATE

This is very strange. I removed the inner door seal interlay and gave it a thorough wash / clean / rinse. Now replaced and it works fine...?
