Blanco kitchen tap question

HI.
I have a BLANCO NELSON 3350 tap. its flipping huge. The guy fitting my kitchen said it won't go with my blancomega stainless steel sink. The reason being that the tap is to heavy and the sink is too flimsy. he said because of the weight then eventually it will come out.
Is there another way to fit the tap? can it be fitted to the worktop? or should I change the tap and keep the sink/change the sink and keep the tap or get rid of them both and buy something else?

Get him to fit a Franke monobloc tap stabiliser under the sink.
