I am about to fit a Blanco Metra 5S Siligranit sink

The instructions make no mention of the need for using a bead of sealant between the waste and the sink
I also spoke to Blanco yesterday, and they stated that due to Siligranit being perfectly flat, it is not open to bend/distort like a stainless steel sink therefore, sealant is not required for the waste, only to bed the underside of the sink to the worktop

I have attached a photo of the waste and the thin rubber gasket that is for the top side, and also showing the larger rubber seal used underneath

Q - Has anyone else fitted a similar Siligranit sink and did you use sealant/do you think sealant is necessary please ?

TIA

I fitted my stainless steel Blanco many years ago, and from memory the waste fittings are very similar to your pic. You wouldn't expect to need sealant with rubber washers, and I didn't use any. It's never leaked. As yours will be more rigid than stainless I don't think you need any.
