Blank for washing machine valve

I want to blank off the open end of a hot feed washing machine ball fix valve. The washing machine is now cold fill only.

I have removed the red plastic lever, but would feel safer if the end was sealed off.

I initially assumed a 15mm brass blank would fit. WRONG!!

I then assumed a 22mm brass blank would be the one. WRONG AGAIN. It almost fitted but not quite.

What size do I need, and is there a correct name for it?
