Hello again,

the CP63 i have just installed is making quite a bit of noise. The instructions say this can be normal but the pump may need to be bled if it does not appear to be venting itself. the instructions state to loosen the manual start and push the screw against the side of the hole until water comes out.

It doesn't matter how i move that screw no water ever comes out. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Possibly having it running, it is most likely that there is still some air in the system which needs bleeding out.

Isn't this in a Puma? The pipe upwards will let any air out. They don't always let water out of the back. Just make sure you can spin the rotor by pulling and twisting.

Yes this is a puma. Can spin the rotor no problems. The instructions do say to let it settle for 48 hours but as yet the new pump doesn't seem to be having much effect.

Oh right if its on a puma you have replaced the auto air vent on the top left hand side aswell haven't you?, would bet it's knacked.

AAV hasn't been replaced but seems to be functioning ok. Pump noise has all but gone and the house is toasty warm so am assuming that the pump was just bedding in.

Thanks for your help

You need to turn blr off loosen the black cap on front of pump & pull gently. (dont worry if it comes off).then you need to move the cap or exposed shaft up & down until it stops hissing & water appears then screw back in
