Bleeding frustration

Have just replaced the rest of the feed pipe, while I was at it I added 2 ball valves and a hosetail. On refilling, I closed the ballvalve off to stop the system filling, then opened the ballvalve above this which allows water to flow through the hosetail into me hosepipe n down the staircase into a drain valve on a rad downstairs. System can now fill up from the bottom---end result very little air in system.............RESULT!!! thanks again for all your help
