What ho one and all,

I realise this is pushing the limit a bit, but ....................

Replacing the rubber coupler on a blender and to remove it, I managed to 'lock' the rotor with a long thin pointy thing.

It is now running erratically, frequently not running at all and powers off after about 10 seconds. Any power setting button gives an 'electrical click' but frequently does not power up. I have dismantled it and find that I have probably damaged a couple of windings on the rotor. Apart from the obvious of throw it away or get it rewound, is there any DIY way to 'repair' the very slight damage?

Can it be soldered?

Thanks

Rex

Windings can be repaired but only by unwinding until you get to the damaged section.
In reality it will probably be cheaper and easier to obtain a new motor. Or a whole new blender depending on the price.

Thanks for your reply. Pretty much what I expect; straws and clutching come to mind!
No chance of a replacement motor and s/h units seem to only be available in the US for a ridiculous price on fleaBay. Guess it's a new blender.
