Hi all,
I’m not a bricklayer but looking to build a bbq/pizza oven area in my garden using concrete blocks.
Am I right in saying that the footings should be at least 18” deep and 1’ wide?
I will be using 450 x 250 x 100mm blocks and the main wall will be 3.9 x 1.27m with 1 return at one end of 1.2m. There will also be 2x walls tied into the main wall to hold a pizza oven which weighs around 60kg

You need to dig down and establish the ground conditions before you can decide on the foundations, but assuming you find something solid then it will be ok, make your concrete 200mm thick, the general rule for width is wall thickness plus 150mm either side.

There was a recent thread with progress photos where a guy had done similar in his garden in the Projects section, might be worth searching for, probably lasted posted a few months back I think.
