Hi, I need to build an 11m long single brick low retaining wall of only 300mm high. I have half a tonne of 10mm pea left over from a previous project and was wondering if I could use this for the concrete footings. 4 pea/2 sharp sand/1 cement. I know balast has larger stone than this, but do you think what I have is acceptable? Also, would a concrete footing of 300mm wide X 100mm deep be enough? Thanks.

Yes to the first question, you can request 10mm stone in RMC, so no probs. there.
As for the footing.. bit narrow maybe, but I'm sure it would be adequate.
