Have tried googling, reading paving expert etc, but can't seem to find any good comparison between the different brands of block paving on the market.
Is there any real difference between the big ones?
We've had various contractors out to quote for driveway work and each swears that "their" brand is much better than the others (will last longer, won't fade as quickly, the top layer won't wear off to show the concrete underneath, colours are better, less efflorescence etc are just some of the claims each has made about why their brand is the best).
So far it seems like Brett paving costs less than Marshalls or Tobermore - is there a good reason for this? (is it lesser quality paving?).
Anyone had direct experience of the main brands, especially over time?
