The down stairs toilet is blocked (takes about 10 mins to fully empty),
now if tryed plunging it from the toilet end and no joy.

yesterday i bought some inspection grate lifting keys and some drain rods, and tryed rodding it back towards the toilet, again no joy.

Is there anything else I should try?

all comments and advice welcome...

thank you.

What else have you got that shares the same soil pipe? are they also blocked?

Thank you for your response.

the soil pipe is not shared with anything else, just the toilet.

and when you look down the nearest inspection chamber, you can see the water coming out (v. slowly) from this toilet,

dont really know what else to try.

maybe something stuck in the u bend???

Sorry just realised the down stairs basin must waste into the soil pipe, this is fine!!

What have you done at the toilet end?

Have you felt around the bend by hand?

Have you tried a hook bent on a wire coat hanger?

bet it`s one of those plastic freshener contraptions gone dahn the `ole ;)

have you got a baby in the house, or a guilty-looking wife or child?

How old is the house, and are you on clay soil?

Remove the pan, then remove the obstruction from pan connector or soil pipe, then replace the pan.

Now wash your hands.

Or just forget to wash them because you forgot what you were doing 1/2 an hour ago when you're tucking into your sandwiches.
