BMW E46 parking light replacement

Hi all,

A HNY to everyone...

i have a 2001 BMW 320i and need to replace passenger side of the parking light ( the tiny little bulb at the top of the drive light.

i am hoping you can give me some guidance on how to remove the holder. i tried today but the holder is in 2 parts. the first part (with wiring) comes off ok but am not sure how to remove the the section that actually holds the tiny little bulb. and i don't want to force and break it.

can someone kindly give me some advice on this or if there is a video tutorial showing this please?

i searched youtube but all the videos are on the indicator light replacement.

BTW, am not referring to the side indicator light. am talking about the parking light that comes on, on your first turn of your light switch.

Isn't this the one that's held in by friction of the O ring, and gentle twisting removes it.....a wire ended 6w bulb if I recall.

hi Burnerman, thanks for the quick reply. yes i think you are right about the o ring, as i checked online for the holder and it came up with these o rings. i have not actually managed to take the bulb out so am not entirely sure it has an o ring but i suspect you are right.
