Good evening. I wonder if anyone can help me?

I have a boiler where the condensate waste pipe (flex hose) drains into a drain in the wall.

The connector appears to have developed a leak where it screws into the wall.

Can anyone recommend a particular type of replacement connector?

The flex hose fits on to one end of the connector which then goes into the wall via a 1 1/4” compression fit.

It seems like an appliance connector has been used but I was hoping to install something better.

At the very least, can anyone recommend a like for like connector that’s 1 1/4” as I can only find a 40mm ( https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-hose-connector-40mm/48625 ). Colour doesn’t matter.

Ps: this install is at a holiday home in Italy - unsure if that makes a difference.

PPS: the tape shown isn’t needed or normally there

Hard to tell if that adapter is metal or chrome plastic. What about something like this? Thepart you have might be specific to Italy/Europe?

It’s chrome plastic.

Your suggestion is a solvent adaptor. Is my current fitting solvent & the solvent has worn off?

No, yours is more like a washing machine waste adapter, I was thinking of an alternative that might work. You’d probably need a solvent welded short piece of pipe to connect the grey flex onto.

Ok sorry to bore you with more of this but I’m struggling with the sizes etc. I’m a total novice diyer.

I measure the outside of existing pipe at approx 1 1/4” ( see photo ). I will check the inside dimension later but recall it being approx 25mm

According to this article that means I need a 1” BSP connector ?

Therefore I can buy this as technical drawing suggests as such?: https://mcalpineplumbing.com/sites/default/files/uploads/drawings/MA15.pdf
