My boiler is in a very cold garage . In winter the frost stat operates and overides all other controls. There is no return pipe thermostat on the Gloworm swiftflow. Consequently the temperature in the house rockets up to 25c at night.
I believe it might be possible to fit a return pipe thermostat. However, would it be just as well to have a thermostatically controlled heater positioned in garage please ? Advice would be appreciated.

It is possible, & required under building regs (L) not retrospective.

The stat is around £15 and a peice of p*** to fit! It comes with instructions.

Cheers

Much obliged - will get it sorted before the winter. Thanks

Hello again
You mentioned a Pipe Stat costing about £15. I keep getting quotes around £30. As the present frost stat is honeywell, do I have to get a Honeywell Pipe Stat to ensure compatibility ? Or is here something as good but cheaper ?
