Boiler dribbles water to outside via pipe why?

G

Goldspoon

Hi,

My boiler has a 15mm pipe that goes outside and to a drain. It is dribbling water at the rate of 50ml per minute out of this pipe. The pipes (two go into one) originate from the bottom of the boiler and go straight outside.

Presumably this is a warning sign of some description?

Boiler is a Glowworm Xtrafast 120, seven years of age.

Thks in advance...

Not a condensing boiler.

Either prv knackered or pressure 3 bar or above on boiler

If it's constant then change prv, if only when rads are hot, then as suggested check EV charge pressure. See FAQs on how to do this.
