Hi,

I've got a friend with a Glow worm open vented system. The boiler will only switch off if turned off at the fused spur, so pressing select on the programmer until both Hot Water and Central Heating displays read "off" has no effect, the boiler just keeps running.

He has two 2 port valves on the system to contol the HW and CH. He has tried sliding the overide sliders on both 2 port valves but the boiler stays on. (I'm not sure if the pipes cool though)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much in advance.

check the valves

My friend has moved the slider across and the boiler is still on.

The sliders on both 2 port valves were set to manual. Should they not be on auto?

Many thanks

It is one of the microswitches inside one of the valves that is sticking
