Boiler PUMA 100e pressure 3.6cold, over 5.2 hot. IS IT SAFE?

Boiler Puma 100e had 'Low system pressure ' red light on and stopped working. Landlord came earlier today and fixed it, but now it's 3.6 bar when it's cold, and goes over 5 bar when hot.

I read other posts on this forum last night and they say it shouldn't be more than 2.5bar when it's cold, but ours is 3.6 (cold).

What shall I do? I know nothing about boilers (female lol!).
Is it safe to have it like this? Landlord lives hours away. Do I have to call him again or can I continue using the boiler?

In short no! The pressure relief safety valve (PRV) should of opened at 3Bar pressure The low pressure light came on, this normally happens as dirt and magnetite is blocking the diaphram to the sensor for low pressure sensor (common problem on those boilers). All the landlord did was put way to much water in there to possibly blow the dirt out of the diaphram housing. When that baby fires up possibilty of blowing a connection in the boiler or a rad valve or a pipe that has a possible weak joint somewhere in the house! Do you pay for the house insurance or the landlord? As if or when the pipe might burst you will have a good claim and a wet house/flat to deal with in my honest opinion....

Keep all children and breakable objects away from boiler or near it, just to be safe. Are there any electrics near the boiler or electrical appliances you know the drill... Not want to scare you, but, the landlord needs to be called back or ask him to get a registered gas engineer out. When was the annual safety inspection done last? Do you have a copy of it as well... YES TURN IT OFF MEANT TO SAY AS WELL

No its not safe and you should turn it off asap. At 3bar the pressure relief valve should activate and release the pressure. Yours is either blocked or capped off, and now you have the potential for an explosion.

It does not sound like the kind of landlord who wastes money on getting annual Gas Safety Certificates done!

If he continues to refuse you can report him to the local EHO.

thanks everyone, that's exactly what I thought, so i will keep boiler off and call landlord once again.
