Looking for recommendations for a new boiler that i'll need in the near future.

I've decided on a combi system, probably looking at a Valiant boiler. Not sure about the model as yet.

The house configuration is as follows;

4 bed terrace.

Ground floor: 5 rads, + HW in kitchen and cloakroom toilet
First floor; 5 rads + HW in bathroom
Loft: 3 rads + HW in sink (shower is electric)

What would be a suitably sized combi boiler (valiant or otherwise) to meet the CH and HW requirements?

Any. Higher output will give you a better shower and fill your bath quicker IF you have good enough mains and plumbing to supply it. All too often your loft hw won't come out at all if someone turns the kitchen tap on, etc.

24kW minimum

if yr mains pressure is good i'd get 28 -30kw to get good flow on your shower.

If you have at least 16 l/min flow rate go for the Ecotec Plus 837, if not the 831.
