Hi guys,

We have a Danfoss CP15 and a Ideal Classic LXFF Boiler.
We have the Heating come on separately to the Hot Water as we always have.

We usually just put the hot water on for an hour in the evening for our morning showers, but earlier this evening we noticed the red light came on, on the Danfoss CP15 but the boiler did not startup (as it normally does).

From having a quick google prior to posting here, it could be something to do with the motorised valve we have this in our airing cupboard

I'm unsure what to do, the heating comes on fine at present.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You could have a number of faults here, your programmer may not be sending out the voltage despite the fact the display says its on, the cylinder stat could of failed or quite rightly the zone valve has failed (most common). How confident are you with electrical testing? Problem is because a zone valve has a permanent live going through it if you just bypass it, the boiler will come on anyway. Despite the fact nothing maybe happening before the zone valve.

If you have an electrical tester then that is a good start.
