Boiler trips RCD

Hi,
my gas boiler (Conventional with cylinder and tank) trips the RCD in the electical system when the switch for the time controller is turned on, even though the boiler itself is not working. The electric heater works OK.
Does anyone know what could be the issue & do I need to call a plumber or an electrician?

Most often the pump or a motorvalve!

Call a heating engineer rather than a plumber or electrician.
