boiler wont fire up

I am having problems with my boiler. Its a Ideal Mexico Slimeline 2 which is at least 15 years old and runs on a conventional system. If the system was on auto and running off the timer the boiler was working properly, but when you switched it to constant the boiler would come on for 2 minutes or so then cut out, now it does'nt come on at all! I have replaced the thermostat but it has had no effect.

Any Ideas?
