What is the procedure for earth bonding bathroom pipework. Shower was fitted last year. Bath, wash basin,wc and radiator. The copper pipes to the bath and wb have been altered and the new pipework is in plastic(only 2m max for both runs) on hot and cold. Does all pipework need bonding and is one piece of cable used for all bonding.

Ah! the old bonding questions.
Items supplied by plastic pipes and/or fittings do not need bonding.
The shower (if its electric) must be internally bonded, pipework to CPC (earth). 4mm bonding conductor from shower isolator to Lighting cpc.
If the radiator is supplied by metal piping inside the bathroom it must be bonded.

Rule of thumb is all exposed metallic parts bust be at the same potential, except if they are supplied by plastic.

Thanks for that. The appliances are supplied in plastic off of a copper run. Where the pipes enter the bathroom appliances they are fed in copper but no more than 1m of pipe on hot and cold feeds. So only the toilet and rad are supplied fully in copper. so do i just bond these and does this bond need to be linked anywhere else or is this already bonded where gas /water meter/cold feed enter the house and on pipes at boiler.

The exposed pipes of the toilet and rad must be bonded and a cable run to MET or proven earthing. Expect a reading of 0.04-8 ohms between shower cpc and exposed condutive part.
