border probs

the lady i am working for wants me to take off he bottomwallpaper & the border leaving he wallpaper aboveth border intact then she wants either the wall painted or linning paper then paint ,
i thought if i take offthe border, strip the bottom paper
thenpaint the wall and add border, the only prob being getting a neat paint edge on the new border
any ideas ????????

Maybe a very small border (match the bottom wallpaper ?)on the bottom original border overlap to hide the join.

what about a very non sticky masking tape on the wall, paint and remove when finished?
