Let's build more renewable energy farms and if that isn't good enough throw up a few state of the art nuclear plants to keep the lights on in the meantime until they finally come up with photovoltaic/wind warms that do more than boil your fuking kettle.

I think we are already letting the foreigners do that for us with the promise when completed of very attractive prices which you will have to pay. Is it twice the current rate?
Don't forget the rent which will be paid to land and sea-bed owners.

End of the day most people just want a decent standard of living and to shag about without worrying about some migrants trying to tell them they can't for religious/political ideological reasons.

Bottomline : we can supply all the energy we need and we could do it ourselves. We don't take nearly enough opportunity of wind/geothermal/photovoltaic. Trouble is photovoltaic is sh1t pro-rata, despite everything they say about it being a great technology really even the most energy efficient photovoltaics opperate at less than 40% efficiency and even at 100% stacked up against current generation of geo-thermal it's no where near as good.
