Am replacing an old gas hob with the above to complement our existing Bosch single electric oven. Hob is rated at 6.6kw and oven 2.9kw.

Can I use the existing \\\"cooker\\\" supply (fed from 30A circuit breaker on dist board) for the new hob and switch the oven to a 13A fused plug connection via a nearby socket or will I have to run a separate cable from a new breaker on the board?

Thanks in advance for input guys.

Please be clear when talking about cooking appliances, whether you are referring to ovens, cookers, or hobs. Each word has a different meaning.

I know, I was just messin'

I edited the post earlier to amend a mistake (swop oven with hob) but changed oven to cooker in the process  I hope the OP is ok and isn't too confused by the whole situation... 8)
