Hi,
I have the above machine which has just blown its second element this year. The OE part lasted 3 years, the 1st pattern replacement lasted about 5 months and the second (pattern) has failed after 3 months.
Is it just a case of coughing up £50 for a genuine Bosch element or is there some other fault that could be causing premature failure?
It's a busy machine (family of 4, 2 kids under 5) but not excessively so.
We are in a hard water area and the elements always have a degree of scale buildup on them when they come out. Could this be 'hot spotting' the element?
Thanks.
