Bosch SMS 3042 Dishwasher - old but very good and never a days problem!
On gong to empty it this morning I couldnt even touch the crockery or utensils - they were so hot and the hat out of the door was very high.

I had put it on the evening before so should have been cold.
I turned off at plug immediately and left until cooler.

Is this something I can get fixed - thermostat or something?
or as its so old should I get new one and cut my losses?
Thanks very much
Linda

I have just had exactly the same condition, with the same machine, and was about to post on here for advice.

Mine also left the machine full of soapy water after the cycle had finished, so I guess it's not emptying between wash & rinse cycles.

I have checked the filters in the bottom of the machine and the water strainer in the cold fill water hose, all are clean.

Any sugestions welcome.

I found the problem on my machine this weekend.

Where the outlet hose joins the waste under the sink had a blockage, so luckily it was an easy fix & the machine has been tested several times since and works fine.

Like the original poster, dishes in my machine were very hot next morning (after setting it going previous evening)

I now think that this was because the blockage would not allow the water to be pumped out quickly enough and the programmer will not continue until the water level is low enough not to cause a flood, so the water level will have been trickelling slowly passed the blockage until it is low enough for the cycle to continue, which probably took all night.
