Hi I've got a built in Bosch fan oven that isn't working. When I turn the oven on the only thing that works is the small fan that cools the oven after cooking. The light, main fan or heat do not work. The clock works so the power is going to it.

Any ideas of what it could be and how to fix it?

Thanks for reading.

As you have power going to the oven this is not an ELECTRICAL problem!

Post your query on the Appliances section. You'll get more help there on this specific problem.

you havent specfied if this is a new oven or a fault that's occured on an old one..

if it's ex-display there may be a link missing ( to stop people turning the oven on in the shop etc ) or there may be a button sequence that needs to be pressed to activate it ( again to stop people burning the shop down.. ).. some need the clock set before they work..

have a look in the instruction manual..

Thanks both for your replies. I will post it in the Appliances section, but I'll keep this thread open too as I've had a reply.

ColJack, it's not new, about 5 years old.

If it worked before and now doesn't, then either:
1. The clock isn't set properly, or it's in some auto/timed mode
2. The clock board has failed in some way
3. The relay which activates the oven has failed.
4. Loose connection inside the oven.

There are 2 probable repair options:
1. Replace the clock board (likely to be expensive and could break again in the future)
2. Have the oven modified so the clock/timer part is bypassed permanently. (much cheaper and a permanent fix)
