Bosch Tile Router, any good?

sorry op(sweet)

waste of money imo...other/better cheaper kits out there... :wink:

i would like to know what they are
the bosch tile router is aimed at porcelain tiles as well as ceramics . I have had a play with one and put a 30mm hole in a class 5 (which i'm told is the hardest ) procelain tile in less than 10 seconds !! also made a hole about 80mm diameter in the same tile by stitch drilling then "joining the dots" with the router bit and that only took 10 minutes

If you do a lot with porcelain tiles then its well worth the money - its debatable if its worth forking out though if its just ceramics you use.;

and to Ijohn - it is a rotozip but the power has been uprated and i think its been slimmed down a bit

and to the original poster - if you shop around a bit you should be able to get one for a similar price but with a "tile dock" worth about £80 thrown in

any good angle grinder with a (good blade)...even a roto as 1john as said...half the price...
fein..
or
a wet saw plunge cutting...and a few others

ten minutes!!!... for a 80mm hole...
hope that was for a porkie and not a ceramic mate... :wink:

seaangler

saying all the above...yes its a good bit off kit...
but i wouldnt pay that price mate....for a hole cutter ....other one is drill 365 they do very good bits...

and you know the old saying....

"there is nothing tighter than a tile fixer".... :wink:
