Hi,

I'm planning to fit a new toilet to replace this old relic......

I've just noticed that the new toilet that I've bought sits flush to the wall.....like the one in the picture at the top of this page....http://www.wickes.co.uk/bathrooms/bathroom-toilets/icat/bathroomtoilets/

As you can see from my current arrangement - I have pipes and a skirting board behind the current monstrosity.

Would it be better to box the wall behind the loo or run the pipes under the floor board?

I think I'm going to go with running the pipes under the floorboards.

my normal practice would be to drop the pipes under the floor and use a piece of marine ply to replace the removed boards.
