going to box in 3 pipes to the boiler in a bathroom. its away from the bath. if ive used battons to create the stud work around the pipes. if i use plywood, what size ply should i use if im tiling it?? would 6mm be thick enough to use as plywood then tile over??

is plasterboard good for this job??

I only ever use PB; it's easy to cut, easy to fit & you can tile straight onto it.

does it matter what size PB i use or ply??

in a bathroom can i tile directly to PB without tanking it, due to humidity etc?

Use 12mm plasterboard; as I said I would not use ply but if you do, check the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions as some may require plywood to be primed.

You only need to tank PB wet areas, behind a bath or in a shower; ideally I would normally use Moisture Resistant PB in a bathroom but if it’s just a box around some pipes I cant see it being a problem.

are we now expecting RC to end up tied up in a wardrobe in 20 years time?

Assume that’s me as we have another RC :?: . I have got a couple of rather “alternative” friends (don’t go there  ) but God forbid. Wardrobes, rope, belts; all bit of a strange do that & in Thailand as well. Something very similar has happened a while ago before but can’t remember who it was now (singer I think) but is sounds a bit iffy to me.

Shame, I liked David Caradine & always thought he was underrated; he was a prolific actor but didn’t always chose his scripts very well. I was a very religious follower of “Grasshopper” when it was current.

yep your RC, the other one is rough i take it.

i agree about carridine, a shame, i wonder if we will ever know what happend.

are you thinking about micheal hutchince?
