The ex council home was made in 50s.
Does anyone know the brand of this cold water tank from rough photo please?
Also, does it seem solid metal or could it contain asbestos.
Thanks

Thank you.
There is some logo but hard to read.
Pridevin maybe it says.
If galvanised steel, does that mean it is steel only or could it contain other materials?

Steel only, definitely no asbestos, which would be a soft insulation coating on the outside of the cistern.

It's steel with a thin coat of protective zinc which is what galvanising is. It's 100% safe unless you want to weld it as the fumes are nasty, but it will be heavy and may well not fit the access: they;re often put in and built round.

Nice to know. Will look at getting it and pipes removed as roof needs re-doing and want floor insulation and boards.

Once it is empty and dry an angle grinder metal cutting blade down each corner will allow it to fold and go through the hatch

Funnily enough I was looking at getting an angle grinder and would just need the right blade as you said.
